Card Outtakes

I attempted to do Emma and Carter's photos for our Christmas card tonight, they wanted no part of it. After trying for 30 minutes I decided we weren't going to have a posed Christmas card this year, we're just going to use some of our facorite photos from the last few weeks. Some of the attempts;

Elf Sightings

Jack has been reporting back to Santa every night. When we went to see Santa the other day Grace asked Santa all about Jack. Luckily Santa knew all about elf on a shelf and had all the right answers for her. Jack fell off the tree the other day, I  was able to grab him quickly and then convince Grace that he was trying to run around, she thought it was hysterical, and keeps talking about it.

Jack was missing Santa, so he hung out near his picture.
Hanging out on the tree, holding an ornament, I think he was hinting around that we should decorate our tree already.
I think he likes the elf on Gracie's stocking.
Jack made himself a little chair out of marshmallows and gumdrops.
He even left a little message for Grace using gumdrops..Grace thought they were "ucky"

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. We started it off by going to my sister's, then Cole's Mom's, then Cole's Aunt's, we were out for 10+ hours, but all 3 kids did very well. The food was excellent at all 3 houses!

I attempted to make pilgrim hats.

Thankful

After a year of trying, 2 rounds of Clomid, the scare of a vanishing twin, being premature at 35 weeks, then 9 days in the Special Care Nursery...add in Gracie and an amazing husband...I have SO much to be thankful for this year!
 Happy Thanksgiving!

Santa Photos

Tonight we dressed the kids in some Christmas shirts and took them to the Bass Pro Shoppe to get their picture taken with Santa. Bass Pro has a great set-up and the Santa there is awesome, he looks legit and is super nice. The best part is it's free! Grace was very adamant all day that she was not going to sit on Santa's lap, but that she would say hi to him and that's exactly what she did!

Almost Forgot

So a week ago we were at the doctor's and Emma weighed  6 1bs 12.5oz and Carter weighed 7 lbs 6.5 oz., well today Emma weighed 7lbs 15 oz and Carter weighed 8lbs 8 oz. They both gained over a pound in just 7days! Holy crap!

Updates

I wrote this blog the other day, today was our Dr.'s appointment, so I thought I'd update ya'll. I ran to my OB while Cole took the babies next door to the Pedi's office. As far as my incision goes, it's still open and really red. My OB thinks it looks like it is starting to heal on it's own, so she's leaving it alone for now. She did give me another prescription for 2 antibiotics, both are topical this time, so we'll see if those work any better. This will be my 4th round of antibiotics since I had the babies!

As far as the babies go, we got really rushed out of the Pedi's office, I don't think she was having a good day and it showed. The doctor we had today was shocked how low the babies Zantac dose was and actually increased it by 3 times what they were getting, no wonder why it wasn't working. She also suggested trying soy formula with the babies to see if that helps the other problems. She just blew off the getting the tongue tie snipped, but I must admit that Carter is doing much better with the Dr. Brown bottles now. The doctor also gave us some diaper cream for Carter because he's got an awful diaper rash. I'm really hoping the increase in Zantac and the change in formula will be the answer. I gave both babies the new dose of Zantac at 530 pm after their bottles and they have both been sleeping since and it's almost 9pm now! Woohoo!

Edaville Rides

Edaville Railroad

Yesterday Cole,me, Grace, Emma, Carter, Cole's Mom, Cole's sister, and Cole's brother all decided to head to Edaville Railroad. I use to go to Edaville when I was younger, but I barely remember it and probably haven't been since I was 6 or 7. We weren't really sure how many of the rides Grace would be able to do or if she would like doing the rides, but we knew she'd at least like taking the train ride to look at all the lights. Well, Grace had a blast! She went on a bunch of rides and ever did some by herself! Everyone else seemed to have a good time as well, Cole and his siblings even did a few rides by themselves!

It was very cold out, so we had to bundle all the kids very well!

Carter excited to go! "We're going where?"
"Oh, that sounds fun!"
I love that it looks like she's kissing the elephant here.
"What are you doing? "
Grace all bundled
Grace very excited walking in.

After we did all the rides it was then getting dark so we took the 20 minute train ride to see all the lights. Grace seemed to enjoy it, but was pretty restless by the end of it.

We all had such a fun time, unfortunately this maybe the last year that Edaville is open. We're really hoping they stay open and we can go again next year!
