Fairy Garden

I've been doing a lot of gardening lately , which Grace has shown lots of interest in. So, I decided to make Grace her very own garden, and thought she would love a fairy garden. I know you're asking what the hell is a fairy garden? It's a little miniature garden that fairies come to play in. I told Grace all about the idea and she was so excited. We headed to the Dollar Tree and Micheal's to get our supplies.

We came home and together we came up with this:
Grace checks her garden multiple times a day to see if any fairies have come. We've yet to see any fairies yet, but when they do come they always leave behind things to let us know they've been there, like a little flower, or sometimes the rearrange a few things, and one fairy left behind a tiny little fairy chair.

I love seeing Grace's imagination at work as she comes up with elaborate stories about what the fairies did in her garden.

Holiday Show

Friday night Grace had her Holiday Show at school. To say she was excited was an understatement, the kid was practically bouncing off the walls. In fact, instead of napping, she spent the whole 2 hours in her room singing Christmas songs!

She was so excited to wear her "reindeer dress with jingle bells." I didn't try it on her ahead of time, and just figured that since it was a 4T it should be fine, man, that was one short dress! But once I got it on her, there was no way I was battling her to get it off. I pick my battles in this house and I'm saving all my "Your dress is way to damn short to wear out of this house" for when she's 14. I fear we'll be having lots of those!

Grace being the nut she is, was playing her jingle bells on her dress.
The kids had to be there at 6, but the show didn't start until 630, so we dropped G off and went and grabbed seats. It was the babies' bedtime, so they were super grumps, but Jackson was doing a great job entertaining them, while we waited.
The show was a mixture of the M/W/F older class and Grace's Tu/Th class.
Grace sitting among all the boys, uh oh.
I don't think Grace sang a single word of any of the songs!
 Santa showed up!
Santa was a little over the top with his "ho hos" which I think scared some of the kids, hell, I know it frightened me!
Grace happily sat n Santa's lap though.
After they each got their gift from Santa, they went back to the class room and had desserts.
I brought these brownies that have been all over Pinterest, seriously so easy!

After the show we had 3 very tired kids, who cried almost the whole way home, so other then that it was a great night!

Art work

Since Grace has started preschool she is always bringing home so much artwork. I have started hanging it up in the kitchen, but my cabinets are starting to get crowded. I figured I'd take some pictures of them and then take them down to make room for some new art work. I thought since I was taking picture of it all, I might as well share it here!
 And her family portrait:
Yup, Mommy, Daddy, Grace,.....Kate?, and Carter. Say what? Grace calls Emma, Emma Kate, well because her full name is Emily Katherine, which has turned into Emma Kate as a nickname. Cole and I rarely call Em, Emma Kate, unless she is up to no good, but Grace on the other hand only refers to her as Emma Kate. Apparently Grace must have confused her teacher when telling her Emma's name. I love it, it makes me laugh every time I look at it!

Nightly Activities

The babies both go to bed at 6pm, but Grace doesn't go to bed until 7pm. We use that hour to let Grace do things that are quiet that she doesn't get to do when the babies are around, because it's either not safe to do around them or the pieces are to small. Grace usually will pick to play with her dress up bin
or, she will pick boxing with Daddy!
Grace loves boxing and she is so funny when she does it!

Yoga Baby

We have Comcast and on their OnDemand under kids they have an exercise section. Grace loves the yoga, she asks for it all the time, and is pretty good at it!

And yes she makes me take out my yoga mat for her!

And just because they are cute the twins:

Little Model

Grace is such a little model and after I get her dressed she says she wants me to take pictures of her. I guess I created a monster with all my picture taking.
"Take a picture of me here"
 "And over here"
 "Back here"
 "Cheese!"
"Ok, now I all done!"
 Another day, another picture!

Oh Gracie

Grace is such a goof and lately she has said some of the silliest things:

The other day I asked her who she was going to marry, her response "umm...a pirate!" Oh man, I hope not!
----------------------------------------
I was asking Grace questions about her wedding the other night,
Me: Will you have a wedding party?
Grace: No
Me: Will you wear a white dress?
G: No, pink, purple, and green!
M: Oh, that sounds pretty. Will you have flowers?
G: No! Ballons...2 purple, a pink, and blue one. What you wear Mama?
M: Hmm, probably a black dress and black shoes.
G: No black shoes...yellow shoes!
M: Wow that sounds like the prettiest wedding ever!
---------------------------------------
We were at the mall this past weekend and went to say hi to the Easter bunny, but there was a sign up saying he was at lunch. We relayed this message to Grace and her response was "Yea, he's probably eating the eggs!" Apparently Grace is under the impression that the Easter bunny takes your eggs and eats them, not hid them!
---------------------------------------
Last night while putting Grace to bed I mentioned that Carter has to go to the doctor's tomorrow. Grace started crying and said "What's wrong with Carter?" I said "nothing the doctor is just going to look in his nose and say everything looks good!" Grace said "Carter's fine?" I said yes and she stopped crying said "ok" then rolled over to go to sleep.
---------------------------------------
We were driving in the car on Monday when Grace started yelling that she needed to poop. We pulled into McDonalds and Cole took her in to poop. Cole stayed in the stall with her and she started yelling at him to "go out Daddy!" Cole tried turning around and not looking, but she wouldn't stop yelling until he got out of the stall because she needs "pi-acy! Daddy go out need pi-acy!" Cole had to wait outside the stall until she was done.
---------------------------------------
We asked Grace if she remembered what her first word was. She thought about it for a few minutes then said "Playground!" We both started laughing and Cole said "no, it was Lily."
---------------------------------------
I told Grace that she was going to be going to school next year and she got all excited and started jumping around saying she wanted to go now. I told her she'd go in September near her birthday, she seemed okay with that until I was taking her upstairs for her nap, she said "Mama, where'd my birf-day go?"
---------------------------------------
AT 7am on Saturday morning Grace ran over to me and said "Mama put on music, I NEED TO DANCE!"
