19 Weeks

19 weeks, I can't believe it! I've now made it to my 1/2 way point. My goal is to get these babeis to 38 weeks, and now I'm 1/2 way there! Everything looked good at my appointment on Wednesday. No knew news. I got to hear both heartbeats for the first time, then my OB did a quick ultrasound to make sure she was actually picking up 2 different heartbeats. It looks like Emma is laying horizonatally along the bottom and Carter is head up on my right side. Looks like his sister is lounging, while Carter is in a little ball. I go back in 3 weeks for another OB check and an ultrasound at the perinatologist. We're only 5 weeks away from viability. I know 24 weeks isn'ts a magic number, but at least if they were born at 24 weeks or after the NICU would at least try to save them. Don't get me wrong, I do NOT want to see these babies until 38 weeks, but getting to 24 weeks would be a step in the right direction.

How Far Along? 19 weeks. The babies are now each the size of a mango! They were both weighing 8 oz at the last ultrasound, so they are on track so far!

Maternity Clothes? Yes

Weight Gain? I haven't gained anything in 6 weeks, but my OB is ok with that. I'm up a total of 8 pounds at the 1/2 way mark.

Stretch Marks? Yep

Sleep? The cold seems to be finally getting a little better, so I'm back to sleeping for 2 hours, then waking up every hour after that to pee.

Best Moment of the Week? Getting to finally HEAR the babies heartbeats, unfortunately Cole didn't get to hear. He was in the car because Grace was sleeping.

Genders? A boy and a girl!

Belly Button In or Out? In

Cravings? I haven't really had any cravings lately.

What I Miss? Being able to bend over. Now when I bend over I get the wind knocked out of me.

What I Love? All my babies!

What I Am Looking Forward to This Week? We have a couple family parties this weekend so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone.

Milestones? We've made it to the 1/2 way mark!

Feeling the Babies Move? Yup! The babies have started to kick it into high gear and I'm feeling them move more and more everyday.

Other Thoughts? I am just really thankful to have made it this far and hope to continue to get these babies to 38 weeks or further.

Bedding

I forgot to mention, I found Emma and Carter's coordinating bedding on ebay! I scored both 12 pieces set for $9 and $10. Yup 24 pieces for $19! You gotta love ebay! They haven't come yet, so I'll have to wait and see if I still like them as much in person.
I thought they were similiar enough to work together. They will probably share a crib for the first few weeks, then we'll separate them afterwards, but they'll stay in the same room.

Great Deals

I was having a bad day today, so when Cole got home he convinced me that we should get out. He knew that doing a little baby shopping would make me feel better. He gave me a $30 budget and we headed to the outlets. At Children's Place I managed to score these matching outfits and hats for Emma and Carter! I'm so excited for their 1st coordinating outfits!
And then I scored big at the Carter's Outlet. Carter's was having a huge 70% off sale. Here are a few of the outfits I got:

Plus I also got Emma a cute cupcake hoodie with matching pants and a cute onesie for Carter. Not to bad if I do say so myself!

This weekend I pulled out some of Grace's old baby clothes, my goodness she has a lot! We certainly have lots to buy for Carter. We only really need to buy more newborn clothes for Emma, I can only imagine she'll be smaller then Grace, so she'll really need the newborn clothes.

18 Weeks

18 weeks! Can you believe it? We're almost 1/2 way there! I'm so excited. Yesterday's ultrasound went very well. Both Emma and Carter look great! They are both weighing 8 oz. Yay I've got a whole pound of babies in there!

It was so great to see both babies moving all around in there. It's so funny, I feel like Emma and Carter already have their own personalities. Little Miss Emma is a Princess, she needs more attention then Carter. Her ultrasounds are always twice as long. She's difficult and is the boss in there! She kept kicking poor Carter in the head, poor little man!

Carter, on the other head is more laid back. His ultrasounds take only a few minute. He's very chill, and laid back. I feel Emma move all day long, but I barely feel Carter. I can just see it now, Emma is going to be soo needy like her sister, while Carter just hangs out.

I was shocked to find out there's a boy in my belly. I never thought I'd have a son, but the idea is sinking in and I'm really loving it! I can just see his sisters now treating him like their little baby!

We go back in a month for another ultrasound and I can't wait to see my babies again!

After our ultrasound yesterday we went and put a bunch of stuff on layaway for the twins. I forgot how much stuff babies need, oh my! I can't wait to pull out all of Grace's old baby clothes. She has so many outfits I loved!

How Far Along? 18 weeks

Maternity Clothes? Yes

Stretch Marks? Yep

Sleep? I've been sleeping like crap lately! I either have a cold or allergies and not being able to breath at night has really made trying to fall asleep after all the bathroom trips extra hard.

Best Moment of the Week? The ultrasound yesterday! It was such a sigh of relief to know that everything looks good in there. I was so nervous they'd be measuring behind, but so far they're right on track! Finding out the sexes has suddenly  made it seem so real!

Genders? A boy and a girl!

Belly Button In or Out? In

Cravings? I've had a really hard time finding anything that sounds appealing to eat or drink.

What I Miss? Being able to breathe...stupid cold!

What I Love? All my babies!

What I Am Looking Forward to This Week? Getting out some baby things

Milestones? Next week is the 1/2 way point to my 38 week goal!

Feeling the Babies Move? I feel Emma move more then Carter, but every now and then I feel Carter. He usually kicks me in the back, I feel his kicks more in the butt and back, weird!

Other Thoughts? I am just really thankful that both babies are doing well.

Results Are In!

We will be having a Girl and a Boy! I can't believe it. I'm in shock! I never thought I'd have a son, it just sounds so crazy to me. I'll blog more details about the ultrasound later, but just thought I'd share the good news!

Today's The Day

Well, today is the big day. Today we'll hopefully find out who's in my belly! I'm nervous and anxious. I just hope everyone and everything is okay. I'm still leaning toward two girls, maybe one of each. Cole thinks it's one of each. I guess only time will tell. Please send lots of good vibes that everythig goes well today!
