Dr.'s Appointment #2

Today we went to the Peri for an ultrasound. Both babies look good! Emma is on the right side of my belly head down and Carter is now on the left side head up. So they basically are just kicking each other in the head. Both babies heart rates where in the 150's. My cervix looks good and so far there is no tunneling or shortening. A baby at 21 weeks should weigh @ 12-13 oz...Emma was 15 oz today and Carter was 1 lb 4 oz! I guess Carter is pulling to be the bigger twin right now. We're so happy that everyone and everything looks good! Neither twin would cooperate to have their picture taken, they were both hiding their faces. The ultrasound tech tried numerous times with no luck.

I dropped off my 24 hour urine and had my bloodwork done, while there. As long as we don't hear back from the Dr. then that means everything is good. I go back to the OB in 3 weeks and the Peri in 4 weeks!

Yay for big babies so far! Keep up the good work guys!

The Circus

Cole's Dad offered to treat us all to the circus last week, we were very excited to take Grace! We were shocked that she actually sat still for 2 hours and watched the whole thing! Grace had a blast!

Dr.'s Appointment #1

Well, after a very busy, hot, humid weekend that involved very little resting I had a feeling my bp would be up...and I was right! My bp was a little high at the Dr.'s yesterday. My OB isn't concerned. She said it's probably partly the heat and partly because it's the point in pregnancy when your bp naturally starts to rise. She decided to increase my bp meds a little and will have me do a 24 hour urine this week as precaution.

Other than that the appointment went well and was quick. We have an ultrasound Thursday with the peri. I go back to the OB in 3 weeks and then after that appointment we'll start going every 2 weeks! I'm tired, nauseous, and finding it harder to move, but overall i'm feeling pretty good as long as I take it easy!

21 Weeks

What twins at 20 weeks could look like
How Far Along? 21 Weeks

Maternity Clothes? Yes, I'm slowly running out of shirts that fit.

Weight Gain? I haven't gained anything in 8 weeks, but my OB is ok with that. I'm up a total of 8 pounds. I have another appointment Monday, so I'll see if there's any gain then.

Stretch Marks? Yep. I've noticed a few new ones this week on my belly and now my boobs..fun fun!

Sleep? I sleep for 2 hours, then waking up every hour after that to pee. I'm getting pretty use to this schedule. I'm really hoping that the twins will be on this schedule as well, seeing as I'm pretty use to it now. Although I know the chances of that are very slim!

Best Moment of the Week? Grace felt Emma kick for the 1st time. Seeing her face when she felt her was priceless!

Genders? A boy and a girl!

Belly Button In or Out? In but getting swallow.

Cravings? I haven't really had any cravings lately. Still in the I hate food stage.

What I Miss? Being able to bend over. Now when I bend over I get the wind knocked out of me. Also getting up is getting harder. My pelvic pain is starting to get really bad, so that makes moving my pelvis very painful.

What I Love? Feeling my babies move more and more every day.

What I Am Looking Forward to This Week? We have 2 appointments this week , one with my OB and one with the peri. I can't wait to see the babies again, and get a conformation on the babies sexes again!

Milestones? Making it this far! 3 more weeks until viability! I've set little milestones for myself, which helps make getting to full term not sound so far. My 1st goal is 24 weeks, then 30 weeks, then 34 weeks, then 36, then finally 38!

Feeling the Babies Move? Yup and I love it!

Other Thoughts? I'm just so happy and thankful to have made it this far. Aside from some discomfort and nausea this pregnancy has not been all that bad. I hope the pregnany continues this way.

20 Weeks

How Far Along? 20 weeks 3 days. The babies are now the size of cantaloupes!

Maternity Clothes? Yes

Weight Gain? I haven't gained anything in 7 weeks, but my OB is ok with that. I'm up a total of 8 pounds at the 1/2 way mark.

Stretch Marks? Yep. I've noticed a few new ones this week on my belly.

Sleep? I sleepfor 2 hours, then waking up every hour after that to pee. I'm getting pretty use to this schedule.

Best Moment of the Week? Other people are finally able to feel the babies now. Cole's sister was able to feel them move the other day.

Genders? A boy and a girl!

Belly Button In or Out? In

Cravings? I haven't really had any cravings lately.

What I Miss? Being able to bend over. Now when I bend over I get the wind knocked out of me.

What I Love? Feeling my babies move more and more every day.

What I Am Looking Forward to This Week? We have a couple family parties this weekend so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone.

Milestones? We've made it to the 1/2 way mark!

Feeling the Babies Move? Yup! The babies have started to kick it into high gear and I'm feeling them move more and more everyday.

Other Thoughts? I'm starting to get really bad dizzy spells. I don't know if it's the heat, the nausea, or the fact that I've been having a hard time eating and drinking lately. I have a Dr's appointment next week, so I plan to bring it up then.

Catching Up

June has been a busy month! We've had at least 1-2 events a weekend. It's been really nice getting to see our families so much. I figured I'd share some pictures from the past few weeks.

Cole's brother, Andy, graduated High School
Cole's cousin, Sean, baptized his daughter, Adrianna
We took Gracie to the park to feed the birds
She enjoyed running after the birds.
We took Grace to her 1st Carnival
Grace rode the caroseul without crying!
Grace played a Duck Game
Grace was very excited about the goats at the carnival.

Andy's Graduation party was this past weekend. It was HOT, so Nana bought and filled up some pools for Grace.
Grace loved the pools!
Grace and Adrianna took naps at the same time!
Sleepy Grace hung out with Auntie Cassie at Andy's party.
We also finally got Grace some swimmies this weekend. She wore the swimmies without complaint but wanted nothing to do with Grandma and Papa's big pool. It could have something to do with not napping in 2 days!

Belly Picture

I realized that I haven't posted a side belly shot since 14 weeks, so..

here was 14 weeks
and this was 19 weeks:

So, we're growing. I don't feel as huge as I was feeling in the beginning, I think all the bloat is gone now. I also think the fact that I haven't gained any weight in over 6 weeks, yet the babies are growing, means my weight is being moved around, so I feel bigger in some areas and smaller in others.
