New Goals and Review

Every year I like to set new goals for the new year and I also like to look back at my goals from last year to see what I've accomplished and what I've failed at.

Goals for 2011 Review
1- Once again, my goal, like every other year, is to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle. No excuses this year, it just has to happen. This goal I actually accomplished. I had set out to lose 70 pounds, but lost 80 pounds!
2- Be a better Mom. There are things I could do better/ handle better. There's always room for improvement. Yes, and no. I feel like I did somethings better, but there is still more I could have done
3- Keep a better organized house. Things kind of went down hill when I got pregnant with the twins and had to take it easy. Cole tried really hard to keep up with the house but between working and taking care of me and Grace the everyday stuff just kind of took a back seat. I have gotten the downstairs put of the house back in order now, but I really need to reorganize bedrooms, clothes, and the basement. This one I did. I made a house cleaning schedule that list what is to be cleaned each day.

I figured we should set some goals for the kids to try to reach this year as well. Their goals are more goals for us to try to help them achieve.

Goals for Grace
1- Become potty trained! Grace is a rock star and accomplished this goal in the first month of 2011
2- Learn her ABC's and counting Grace counts and does her version of the ABC's, they aren't perfect, but she does a great job trying.
3- Start Preschool Yes and she loves it!
Goals for Emma & Carter
1- Try to loose their adjusted age by 1. I'd love for them to be caught up, or close to caught up,  age wise by 1 to other kids their age. This includes things like rolling, crawling, walking, and talking. We will try our hardest to work through delays. Obviously we will not be upset if they are still delayed at 1, I just want to make sure that Cole and I do our part to do all we can. I am very happy to say that Carter and Emma are right on track and no longer need their adjusted age!

Goals for 2012:

1- Lose another 70 pounds. I hope to continue counting calories and losing weight. I would like to add in some time at the gym, nothing crazy, just 2 days a week. I also want to increase my water intake. I want to start slow and add in 2-3 glasses of water each day. I am hoping the more I drink water, the more my body will crave it, so over time I'll be able to get in more water each day.

2- I want to read at least 25 books this year. Last March I set out to read 25 books in 2011, I came close at 21 books, but didn't hit my goal. This year I really want to reach my goal!

3- I'm issuing a challenge to myself. I want to go the whole month of January, without cheating on my diet at all. In December I had 5 cheat meals, and I just feel like that it to many, so to make sure I'm back on track, and to start the year off strong, I want to go 31 consecutive days, without a single cheat meal. I know it is impossible to go through life without ever cheating, that's why my challenge is only one month long, but I do need to prove to myself that I can do it.

I have yet to set goals for the kids yet, but I hope to set some soon. I feel like it's good for everyone to have goals to strive for.

Sunday Funday

On Sunday we didn't have a lot of time, so we tried to stay local, but still do something fun for Grace. So I got the kids all dressed, and since Carter was rocking his Ireland jersey I tried to get a picture of him, but it was pretty impossible.

Look at all that drool! He's currently working on his 7th tooth, while Miss Emma is still working on her first 2 teeth! Poor Em, with her crazy hair, she always looks like she just rolled out of bed.
Emma loves to start fights and always picks on poor Carter. Unfortunately for Emma, she's usually the one to get hurt.
We decided to take Grace to More Playtime in East Bridgewater and she had a blast! She didn't really know what to expect because she's never been.
Cole and Grace did the bumper boats first, where poor Cole got soaked!
After the bumper boats Cole and Grace went on the go carts. The babies and I hung out in the shade and watched.
 Grace had so much fun!
While we waited the babies were playing peek a boo with one another, so stinkin' cute!
After the go carts everyone was sweaty and tired so we left and hit the mall where it was air conditioned!

Water Play

Surprisingly all three kids actually enjoy being in the pool, which is awesome sense it's been so hot lately!
I'm way to lazy to swimsuit up 3 kids, so I always just toss the babies in in their onesies.
I got their little swimming pool on clearance at Target for $15, it's awesome! It's actually 2 separate pools that connect. You use the hippos as a slide and the 2 trees spray water.

Saturday in Plymouth

This past Saturday we all got up early to take Grace to swim lessons, which she did awesome at!
She's the one getting ready to jump into the pool!
After swim lessons we went to Ikea, yes on a Saturday, yes it was super busy, but I really needed to find something to organize our living room closet with, I did, and our trip was pretty pain free. After Ikea we decided to head down to Plymouth for some lunch.

We grabbed food at Cabby Shack it was delicious and the staff was super nice! I got their Niko salad, Cole got their pizza of the day, and Grace shared her Mac n' cheese with the twins. Grace's food looked so yummy, and they all finished it super quick! I'm always a wreck taking all 3 kids to a real restaurant, well, because it's usually a disaster. The kids were all relatively well behaved and one woman even came over to tell me how well behaved my children are, I almost choked on my food!

Grace was a fan of the Cabby Shack!
Grace asked if she could take a picture of Cole and surprisingly she actually managed to get him in the shot!
After lunch we decided to walk around for a little bit. Emma was less then impressed,
 Carter wasn't either.
We stopped to get ice cream at Ziggy's. Grace got chocolate and I got some of their fat free coffee ice cream.
We decided to go watch the boats while we ate our ice cream, or in Grace's case drip ice cream all over ourselves.
I made her ditch the cone and just eat it out of a bowl instead.
Then Cole and Grace went to watch some baby ducks.
I gave Emma my ice cream cone to eat.
Grace was pretending to throw fishes for the ducks to eat.
The ducks Grace was stalking.
Emma only took a few bites of the cone, before Carter stole it, but she was okay with that.
Emma and Carter eventually got sick of my picture taking, Emma kept trying to kick the camera away, and Carter was covering his face.
I would have loved to stay longer but it was really hot and both babies needed a nap, but all and all we had a great day!

Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot

It was hot here Wednesday and Thursday, so after Grace's nap on Wednesday I took her and Em outside to play, while Carter continued to nap. I just had Grace play on our deck so I could plug in Carter's moniter and still hear him. I filled Grace's water table for the first time since last year. It's crazy how much bigger she has gotten since last summer..tear!

Em and I read our books, while Grace played. I read The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nestby Steig Larrson (which is going a lot slower for me then the first two in the series. Emma chose to read her book with family pictures in it!
Grace had a blast playing with the water table.
She was really hot so decided to continually dump water on herself!
Such a goof ball!
Apparently that wasn't cooling her off enough, so she tried to climb in instead.
After I told her she was to big to sit in the table, she did the next best thing...dunk her head in the table!
I guess we should get her a little kiddie pool here so she stops trying to drown herself in her water table to stay cool! In other water news, Grace will start swim lessons in a few weeks and I can't wait!

Busy Long Weekend

Thursday we went and fed the ducks after the Dr.'s appointment.
Then we went to see the cows.
Friday night we went to the Drive-In. Grace had fun before the movies started, but wanted no part in watching the movies. We ended up having to leave before the 2nd movie.
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday we spent most of the day at Grandma and Papa's pool. Grace doesn't love the pool, but will tolerate it.
Grace trying to give the babies a hug.
Nose!
Cheese!
Sunday we went down to Plymouth to watch the fireworks on the water. Grace enjoyed her Oreos, while the rest of us had cupcakes.
The sunset.
Fireworks

We had a great weekend and got to spend lots of family time together! Hope everyone had a good 4th!
