Weekly Weigh-in

I haven't posted in a few weeks, because I was bloated and not losing anything. I'm happy to say this morning I'm now down another 4 pounds, which brings the grand total to 129.6 pounds lost! I've switched up my gym routine and have started going M/W/F morning instead of Tu/Th/Sa. It does mean three 4am wake-ups instead of 2, but I'm liking having the weekends off.

The next 3 weekends in a row, I know I'll be going to events where I won't be sticking to my calorie intake. I'm hoping to be able to just maintain for the next 3 weeks, cause I know I won't have a loss those weeks.

Weekly Weigh In

125.6 pounds gone forever! I lost 3 pounds this week, bringing my total lost to 125.6 pounds, I'm thrilled! I still have a very long way to go, but I'll get there.

I figured since it's been another 15 + pounds I should probably update my before and now pictures, so here they are: (please ignore the stupid face and lack of make-up, it was late last night)

Measurements

I've mentioned in the past that I'm always using fitday, it's free and I'm able to track my calories, weights, measurements, etc. What I love about the website is it stores all my past weigh-in and measurements. Out of curiosity after doing my measurements last night, I looked up my measurements from last July.

Since last July I've lost:

1.5 inches in my neck
4 inches in each of my biceps
1.25 inches in each of my forearms
8.25 inches in  my chest
9.5 inches in my waist
10.5 inches in my hips
6 inches in each of my thighs
3.25 inches each of my calves

That brings my total inches lost in the last year to 58.75. When I add it all up like that it puts each little inch into prospective.

Weekly Weigh In

I lost 2.4 pounds this week, which now brings my total lost to 122.6 pounds!

Weekly Weigh In

I only lost 0.8 pounds this week, which I was actually pleasantly surprised by. I didn't expect to lose anything this week! Friday night we went out to celebrate my sister's birthday, I had pre-planned to eat crappy and have a few drinks. I ate great all day Friday and did as I had planned Friday night. Saturday morning I recovered and got back on my diet. That would have been all well and good, except  Saturday afternoon I fell off the wagon and hit hard. I don't even want to try to figure out how many calories I consumed Saturday, it was repulsive.

I got up Sunday morning determined to get my shit together. I hit the gym at 7am, my IBS was in full force due to all the junk I ate. I pushed through the pain and got my workout in. Unfortunately on the way home from the gym I puked, while driving. I did manage to get it all in the empty cup my husband had left in the car, and thanks to 18 months of morning sickness practice I didn't have to take my eyes off the road, nor did I get any anywhere, but in the cup.

Getting sick Sunday after the gym, just reminded me how awful I feel when I eat crappy. I'm happy to report I made it through the holiday without cheating again. I was just hoping to not have a gain this week, after my awful weekend, so I was happily surprised to see a lose this morning.

My total lost is now 120.2 pounds!

Weekly Weigh-in

Well, I've been in hiding lately. I'd hit a damn plateau and it was messing with my head. I was eating within my calorie range, working out like crazy, and I still couldn't get that damn scale to move. I knew there was no way I could drop any more calories and continue working out like I was. I just felt stuck. In fact one morning a few weeks ago I came home from the gym and sobbed, I was just so frustrated. I was working as hard as possible and not seeing results.

Cole suggested I not change my daily calorie allowance just alter the type of calories I was eating. I cut out most of my daily carb calories and replaced them with protein calories. I am very happy to report that I finally busted through that damn plateau! I lost 1.4 pounds this week, which now brings my total lost so far to 119.4 pounds!

Weekly Weigh In

I'm happy to say that I had a much better week. I finally got my head screwed back on right. I lost 2.3 pounds, which now brings my total lost to 117.4 pounds! In addition to hitting the gym 3 times a week, I've added in a few Zumba classes, and at least 2 kettle bell workout each week.

Weekly Weigh In

I had a rough  couple of weeks. I did manage to lose 1.1 pounds, but it was a struggle. We went away to CT this past weekend. I originally had planned to not worry about the "diet" this weekend and enjoy all the old restaurants we use to go to. The closer we got to going away the more it was messing with me. I let myself have a cheat meal on Thursday nights, so I had a cheat meal not last Thursday, but the Thursday before, then on the following Sunday I was having crazy cravings thinking about all the food I was planning on eating on vacation, I couldn't wait, so I let myself indulge on Sunday. I was fine on Monday, but then on Tuesday night I indulged AGAIN!

After Tuesday night I realized I was heading for a downward spiral and needed to stop. I had a heart-to-heart with myself and got myself together. I realized that the prospect of eating crappy for a few days was leading me to spiral out of control, so I decided that ultimately I could not "cheat" while on vacation. To make up for all the extra cheat meals, I skipped my normal Thursday cheat, added in a few extra workout, and then stayed focus while on vacation. I stuck to my meal plan and hit the gym while away. I'm planning on not having my cheat meal tonight, but saving it for a cupcake tomorrow night.

I've realized that this is going to be an on going battle for me. There is never going to be an end point. I'm always going to have to be conscience of what I'm eating. That's just the way it has to be. I have come to terms with that and have pushed through my rough patch. I'm refocused and recommitted to my journey.

I ended up losing 1.1 pounds this week, which now brings my total lost to 115.1 pounds.

Castle Island & Carnival

Last Saturday since it was such a nice day out we decided to take the kids to Castle Island.
Cole and I just got salads on the way, but the kids got yummy food at Sullivan's.....drool.
The babies just think juice boxes are the greatest thing ever! I only get them for them when we are out n about, but once they get them they keep a death grip on them.
After we sat and ate, we walked around for a while looking at all the boats and planes.
Before we left we let the kids play at the playground for a while. Let me tell you having 3 kids playing at a crowded playground with only 2 adults to keep an eye on them, sends me into panic mode. After almost 10 minutes of constant anxiety, I finally decided to put the babies make in the stroller before I die of a heartache.

After Castle Island, we surprised Grace by taking her to the Weymouth Carnival. We didn't tell her what we were doing or where we were going. She was very excited when we pulled in!
They had a little petting zoo there, which Grace really liked.
Carter on the other hand, HATED it. He just screamed any time we got close to the animals.
Poor baby, doesn't like petting zoos.
We let Grace pick a few rides to go on. She wasn't tall enough to go by herself, so Cole went with her.
The babies watching Grace on the rides.
Grace said this ride was her favorite.
This little boat, spun around, it was really cute.
Carousel
Fun House
Super slide
After Grace used all her tickets we let the kids get a snack. The babies had some milk and ice cream.
Grace got her first ever rootbeer float.
Emma is such a goof ball when it comes to food.
Carter on the other hand, is super serious when it comes to food, he doesn't want to risk spilling a single drop.
Grace drank every last sip of her huge drink.

Plymouth

I've been such a bad blogger lately, what can I say, I have no excuses.

Thursday nights are my cheat nights, so I eat whatever I have been craving for the past week. A few Thursdays ago, I was craving cupcakes, so we went to get the most amazing cupcakes ever at Cupcake Charlie's .
I told Grace before school that day, that we might be getting cupcakes at night...she did a little happy dance:
I didn't get any pictures of the delicious cupcakes because we all inhaled ours as fast as possible. I got the chocolate peanut butter cupcake, which is so amazing! Grace picked the chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting, the babies split a funfetti cupcake, and Cole had a mint chocolate cupcake.

After inhaling our cupcakes we decided that since it was a nice night out, that we should take advantage of it and walk around Plymouth for a while.

We went and showed Grace the Mayflower, she was less then impressed.
We did see a horseshoe crab hanging out in the water, which Grace did think was pretty cool.
Pretty girl in front of some flowers.
 Grace and I
We went over and showed Grace Plymouth Rock, she was really unimpressed with that. She did however really want to climb the hill across the street.
After walking around for a while, we let Grace buy a candy necklace.
Two minutes after Grace bought the necklace Cole put it on himself, obviously breaking it and sending candy EVERYWHERE! This led to Grace balling he eyes out, Cole then had to promptly walk her back to the store to buy another one...oh Daddy! On the car ride home Grace just kept saying "Daddy, I'm sorry you broke my necklace!"
