Easter 2011

Saturday I boiled our eggs to prep them for coloring. While they were cooling I cooked this and this to bring to Easter lunch. They both were yummy and healthy..yay! Once the eggs were ready I mixed the dye up.
I apparently stink at trying to figure out what color each tablet is going to be. Yup, I thought the orange one was going to be yellow and I thought the yellow was going to be pink...oops!
I put each egg in a whisk so that Grace wouldn't break the eggs or get as messy, which worked great.
That is until she grabbed one of the finished eggs and accidentally dropped it on the floor cracking it, which caused her to fall apart, and since I'm a mean mommy I video taped it!

Our finished eggs.
After everyone went to bed the Easter bunny brought out their Easter baskets.
and a new (or a used one that a client gave Cole)  bike for a special toddler!
We actually decided to hid Grace's bike and have her find it after she finished finding the eggs and opening her basket.
Grace checking out her Easter basket.
It wouldn't be Easter if you didn't eat a chocolate bunny for breakfast!
Emma didn't know what to make of all the commotion!
 Trying her first puff!
 Grace riding her new bike!
I tried to get a picture of the three of them after they were all dressed, but couldn't get them all to look at the same time.
Grace is such a goof ball!
So I tried doing the babies together, but couldn't get both to smile at the same time.
 Grace still being a goof.
If that wasn't bad enough I tried to get a picture of me with all the kids...ha that sure did not work!
I then tried a picture Myspace style with just one kid, hey at least he's looking at the camera!

We had Cole's mother and sister over Easter morning and then went to the Brennans' for lunch. I tried to get Grace and the boys to take a picture together, but Grace wasn't cooperating.
All the kid headed out back and did an Easter egg hunt.
 Grace found an egg!
 Attempt at a family picture!
Josh was the winner of  Cole's egg cracking tradition.
After the Brennans' we went to Cole's Aunt's house where Grace did another egg hunt
All the kids were very worn out after a busy but fun day!

Go Bruins

My friend Colleen got the kids all these matching shirts! They wore them on Saturday, which apparently brought the Bruins good luck, seeing as they won in double overtime!
 "Um Mom, he's touching me!"

Getting Bigger

The babies have now reached that stage in development where you finally start to realize that they are no longer little babies!

They can now both roll all around to get to what they want, which recently has been poor Lily. Lily is such a good dog and is very sweet with the babies.
We've started giving the babies finger food. Emma does awesome with finger food and can't get enough of it! Carter on the other hand doesn't really care for baby food or finger food, he'd rather stick to his bottles!
Please disregard my poor scratched up table..dumb dog!
The babies love to interact with one another. Somedays they will babble and laugh at one another, but other times they just annoy the crap out of each other.
We've stopped swaddling Carter and started sleep training him, he is doing awesome and is sleeping in his crib and sleeping almost the whole night now! He apparently is a stomach sleeper now though!
Grace is also becoming so big. Everyday she makes me laugh with the things that come out of her mouth!

Weekly Weigh in

Meh...I had a good week, but only lost 1.1 pounds this week. I know a pound is a pound, but I was really hoping for more. I was hoping to be at the half way point in my goal. I'm so close to the half way point, only 0.4 pounds until I reach it, hopefully next week! I still need to lose 35. 4 to reach my 70 pound goal, which means I've lost 34.6 pounds since January.

Kisses & Dentist

I have no new pictures to share, but both Carter and Emma have learned a new trick! They both have learned to give kisses, you know those big, wet, open mouth kisses! They are the best! They will now give them when asked and they will now give them on their own, without asking. I just love it! Carter will grab your face with his little hands and pull your face to his and just a plant a big one on you. But Emma just comes right at you with her mouth open to plants it on you.

In other completely unrelated news Grace had her first dentist appointment yesterday and she did awesome! They have a little play area their which she refers to as the dentist playground. She went and played first. Cole took her back and said she sat in the chair all by herself and let them clean her teeth, and count them, and do a fluoride treatment without a fight! She did a great job and got a new toothbrush and floss which she couldn't be happier about them!

Emily

Miss Emma is a woman of many facial expressions.
Sweet smiles.
 "What are you looking at!"
 Goof ball.
 "Um..what are you doing?"
Emma's mad face! "Why is this ridiculous flower on my head?!"

Twins

Emma and Carter were snuggling together in the pack n play the other day so I had to snap a few pictures!
Smiles for Mama
Double teething!
