Weekly Weigh In

I missed my weigh in last week due to the awful stomach bug that took up residence in our house. So my weigh in this week is actually for the last 2 weeks. I lost 4.2 pounds, which now brings my total lost to 97.7 pounds. This weekend I bought my reward sneakers, but told myself I couldn't wear them until I officially hit 95 pounds lost. I'm very happy that I can now wear these cute sneakers!

For the month of February I lost 8.0 pounds total, which brings my total lost in 2012 to 15.9 pounds. I would really love to hit my 100 pound goal next week, fingers crossed!

Sheep Pasture

One of my fellow bloggers, Robin,  from the Signature Mom Blog, had blogged a while back about the Sheep Pasture in Easton. We were looking for something to do this past weekend, so we decided to check it out.

The scenery was so awesome. I can only imagine in the spring, when everything is green, how much prettier it all will be.
Grace loved taking it all in.
Grace was a big fan of just being able to run all around as well. I can't wait until it gets a little warmer and we can take some family walks on some of the trails.

The kids all loved seeing all the animals.
 There was lots of chickens!
At first Emma was a little apprehensive.
 As was Carter.
But they both warmed up quickly!
There was also some ducks there.
Emma loved waving and yelling at every animal.
Grace loved climbing on the rocks.
They had a cow as well.
 and a bunny
 And some goats
 and a very loud rooster!
We definitely will be going back to the Sheep Pasture in the future! Thanks Robin for a great recommendation!

Date Night

Say what?! Yup, we actually scored some babysitters and were able to have a little date night. We decided to call it a late Valentine's Day date!

We went to see Safe House with Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. We decided to try the Lux level at the movies for the first time.
I haven't been to a movie since before I had Grace, and I must admit I never really liked going to the movies. I think the Lux level, may have just changed that! Nothing beats comfy seats and a waitress to bring you yummy food. I ended up ordering a spinach salad, which was so yummy. Then half way through the movie I decided I wanted a coffee, so I just pressed my little call button and the waitress brought we over a nice cup of Starbucks coffee in a really mug, it was great. I don't know that I will ever be able to go to a regular theater again!

We already have our next movie date planned! We are going to see The Hunger Games (yay!) on opening night in Lux level as part of Cole's birthday present.
I can't wait! I'm already looking at the menu, trying to plan what I'll eat!

The Aquarium

I'm so behind on updating the blog, what can I say things have been busy, and then we all got hit with the nasty stomach bug! Last Sunday we decided to get the Aquarium passes from the library. After we got dressed we let the kids play outside in our new play house that we scored super cheap from Craigslist.
We finally were able to drag the kids away with the promise of seeing some fish! We figured the aquarium would be crazy over the week because it was school vacation. We thought going before vacation officially started would be a good idea, boy we were surprised when we got there and the line to get in was down the street! Unfortunately once you promise a 3 year old something you can't go back on it, so we got in line.

Carter thankfully passed out after maybe 30 minutes in line, and stayed sleeping through most of the aquarium.
We ended up waiting in line for 1.5 hours, it was a little cold, but the aquarium was handing out free cookies and hot chocolate which kept the girls happy. Emma kept wanting to hold Cole's hand, which was just so incredible cute!
We finally got through the line and were able to see the animals. The aquarium was so crowded  you could barely move. The kids seem to enjoy it though, so I can't complain to much.
Carter did sleep through more then half of the aquarium.
Emma loved the penguins! She kept yelling and pointing at them.
Carter woke up in time to see a few fishes.
Overall, I think we waited in line longer, then we actually were in the aquarium, but the kids had a good time, so that's all that matters.

Weekly Weigh In

I lost 2.5 pounds this week, now bringing my total to 93.5 pounds. I'm really hoping to get to 95 pounds lost next week and buy some new sneakers! I've been sticking with the gym 3 times a week. I switch up what machine I do for cardio, but I always do 30 minutes of cardio followed by 40 minutes of weight lifting. I alternate every other session with upper body and lower body weights.

I really enjoy lifting weights and just force myself to get through the cardio, so I can get to the weights. I've noticed that since I started the gym, my hair and nails have become so brittle. I just ordered some supplements online that are suppose to help with that, so hopefully they will.

In order for me to get to the gym I have to wake up early, like 4 am early. I find that if I wait to later in the day, I come up with a million reason not to go. If I just get up early and get it out of the way, I'm better off.  I'm also finding that if I have 1 day a week where I increase my calories a little my body responds better and I lose more weight.

Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day today. I woke up at 4am to head to the gym. When I woke up I found the stairs  and the hallway had note cards on the ground. Each note card had a reason why Cole loves me. The note cards led to my present in the kitchen, which was a new Pandora bead for my bracelet.

After the gym I returned home to find this:
Grace asleep on the living room floor. The best part was the babies were awake and running around her yelling, yet Grace was still asleep.
The kids all had a yummy breakfast of french toast from Trader Joe's, yum!
We got the kids all dressed before we gave them their presents.
I found this cute hair idea on Pinterest, Grace loved it so much!
The kids then all opened their presents.
We got Grace this Strawberry Shortcake remote control car and she was ecstatic! All day long she kept thanking us, it was great!
After presents we all piled in the car to bring Grace to Preschool.
After we dropped off Grace, Cole and I enjoyed some coffee at Starbucks, while the babies drank some milk, and ate a whoppie pie! Carter ate his in 3 big bites!
Emma picked at hers, but didn't want to get messy, so we saved it for Miss Grace.
After Target I came home and napped! It was amazing! While I napped Cole picked up Grace at school. After school we went to eat at Bertucci's. I had the baked cod, which was so yummy and healthy. After we ate, we let the kids play at the mall. After they ran around for a while, we let the kids all get an ice cream. It was the babies first ice cream cone. Carter devoured his. He actually finished his ice cream before Grace and Cole finished there's!
Emma did not want to get messy with her ice cream. First she wouldn't hold then.
After she decided she did want to hold it, she was eating it by dipping 1 finger in it and then licking it. We finally gave her a spoon to try to eat it. We ended up just throwing almost all of Emma's away.
After ice cream we rushed home to get all the kids baths before putting them to bed. The kids are all happily sleeping! It really was such a great Valentine's Day!
