Surprisingly all three kids actually enjoy being in the pool, which is awesome sense it's been so hot lately!
I'm way to lazy to swimsuit up 3 kids, so I always just toss the babies in in their onesies.
I got their little swimming pool on clearance at Target for $15, it's awesome! It's actually 2 separate pools that connect. You use the hippos as a slide and the 2 trees spray water.
This past Saturday we all got up early to take Grace to swim lessons, which she did awesome at!
She's the one getting ready to jump into the pool!
After swim lessons we went to Ikea, yes on a Saturday, yes it was super busy, but I really needed to find something to organize our living room closet with, I did, and our trip was pretty pain free. After Ikea we decided to head down to Plymouth for some lunch.
We grabbed food at Cabby Shack it was delicious and the staff was super nice! I got their Niko salad, Cole got their pizza of the day, and Grace shared her Mac n' cheese with the twins. Grace's food looked so yummy, and they all finished it super quick! I'm always a wreck taking all 3 kids to a real restaurant, well, because it's usually a disaster. The kids were all relatively well behaved and one woman even came over to tell me how well behaved my children are, I almost choked on my food!
Grace was a fan of the Cabby Shack!
Grace asked if she could take a picture of Cole and surprisingly she actually managed to get him in the shot!
After lunch we decided to walk around for a little bit. Emma was less then impressed,
Carter wasn't either.
We stopped to get ice cream at Ziggy's. Grace got chocolate and I got some of their fat free coffee ice cream.
We decided to go watch the boats while we ate our ice cream, or in Grace's case drip ice cream all over ourselves.
I made her ditch the cone and just eat it out of a bowl instead.
Then Cole and Grace went to watch some baby ducks.
I gave Emma my ice cream cone to eat.
Grace was pretending to throw fishes for the ducks to eat.
The ducks Grace was stalking.
Emma only took a few bites of the cone, before Carter stole it, but she was okay with that.
Emma and Carter eventually got sick of my picture taking, Emma kept trying to kick the camera away, and Carter was covering his face.
I would have loved to stay longer but it was really hot and both babies needed a nap, but all and all we had a great day!
I'm a little late, but here's our weekend in picture form!
Saturday Grace had swim lessons then we all got ready and went to the beach.
Grace really loved the water, as did Carter. Emma liked it at first, but that didn't last long.
Thankfully the babies were happy just playing in the pack n play.
Then on Sunday we packed up to head to Grandma and Papa's pool. On the way he stopped at Target, were they had a slip n slide on clearance for $1.70, so I grabbed it!
Cole thankfully did not get hurt doing this:
We had a water filled weekend and it was great! But being at the beach always reminds me how badly I want to live on the beach, sigh, someday!
I only lost 1.2 pounds this week, but that brings my total up to 48.9 pounds lost since January. I'm on week 3 of C25K and so far so good. Every time I start a new week it's hard, but doable. I haven't cheated in a long time, nor do I have the desire to. I feel like I've really embraced this healthy lifestyle. I'm planning ahead and working out in the morning if I know I'll be to busy to workout at night. I was hoping for a bigger loss this week, but I know it takes time. Hopefully in the next week or 2 I'll hit that 50 pound mark, here's hoping!
I lost 1.5 pounds this week bringing my total to 47.7 pounds lost. I feel so close yet so far away from hitting the 50 pound mark. I feel like I've been so close for a few weeks now. I'm hoping to push past this plateau this week and hit it. I've been doing C25K for the past few weeks and so far so good. It's been hard, but I've been able to do it. I'm on week 2 and have done 2 out of the 3 days already this week. I'll run the 3rd day tomorrow and depending on how that goes will decide if I add an extra day to week 2 or if I start week 3.
We had a great 4th of July weekend! Saturday we did all this, then on Sunday we went to Grandma and Papa house.
Grace practiced her new swim moves.
and played on the swings.
Grace stuffed her face, literally!
The babies napped, yay!
Grace and the boys colored with some chalk. I must say Grandma and Papa's driveway looks beautiful now!
Then the kids played ring around the rosy
and a sleeping rabbit game.
and they played some football.
While Grace and the boys played, Emma and Carter kept themselves busy by playing together.
Then today we got up bright and early and went to the Plymouth parade.
I made the kids take some group shots before we left, obviously!
Emma was done, but Carter's a ham!
I attempted to try to make Grace's hair look like a star. I got the idea from The Story of a Princess and her Hair. It was a sad attempt, but I tried and at least Grace's hair was out of her eyes so she didn't complain.
Emma and Carter waiting for the parade to start.
Grace bought a cat from one of the vendor, so while we waited for the parade to start, she took her cat for a million walks to pee!
Grace happy the parade is finally starting
The parade started off with all the firetruck and there had to be probably close to 50 of them, it was very loud!
and then lots of motorcycles.
Carter was NOT a fan of all the noise!
But he did eventually let me put him back down.
The parade marshal was 103 years old!!
There was a very cool steel drum band in the parade.
Dispite all the noise both babies did finally fall asleep!
After the parade we were all hot and sweaty so we drove home, got our bathing suits, and headed to Grandma and Papa's pool. We all went swimming and the babies really seemed to like it. The babies we hanging in the pack n play when Jackson informed me that they were wrestling. Before rescuing Emma I snapped a few pictures because it was cute! Carter looked like he was flying like Superman!
I'm so sad that the weekend is over and Cole has to go back to work today, but we really had a great weekend so I can't complain too much!
